My light idea: Enjoy the warm twinkle light.

My design: I have been influenced by traditional crafts employing wood in its various forms. It inspired me to create new interpretations of the craft heritage utilizing today’s manufacturing techniques and materials. I want to investigate material qualities, beauty of structures. Pilke Signature Collection is a unique example of geometrically decorative wooden lights.

Janne Uusi-Autti

Janne Uusi-Autti is the creator of Pilke Pioni Collection. Pioni is a beautiful, organic shape pendant, creating a natural soft atmosphere in any home, restaurant or public space. Pioni lamps are made of thin birch plywood. Janne Uusi-Autti is a designer with a background in engineering and sailing.

My light idea: A thin sheet of wood creates organic light.

My design: I always search for something new and different. I want to be open with my design approach and not just concentrate on current trends, like architectural minimalism. My design goal is achieved, when a shape has some soul and beauty. Sailing is one of my passions and one of the sources of inspiration in my designs. Lightness and precision describe my design language. My design process often starts from a new technical solution, which leads the development of the final shape.
